The CARE Committee is an arm of ACQA that brings together volunteers devoted to supporting and enriching our South Jersey queer community. The committee provides opportunities for volunteers to engage in advocacy & social action, resource curation, and training & educational development.

Advocacy Team
The Advocacy Team centers the voices of the LGBTQIA+ Community in all that they do. They are responsible for monitoring and responding to community advocacy needs, from elevating voices at meetings where are our rights are on the line to showing up for the community in spaces that need to be more welcoming and inclusive. Don't have a lot of advocacy experience? No problem! The CARE Committee offers training and skill building!
Resource Team
The Resource Team is devoted to establishing a standard for South Jersey's queer-affirming resources. As part of that, this team is also responsible for finding and vetting resources for our local queer community and ensuring those resources are accessible and approachable. A heavy focus of this team is ensuring these resources are conscious of intersectional identities and equitable service expectations.
Education Team
The Education Team is focused on ensuring that our dedicated allies and community members are equipped with the most up-to-date and accurate information on all kinds of topics relevant to the local LGBTQ+ community. This team also supports to the CARE committee by facilitating community feedback, ideas, and outreach, as well as facilitation of educational training developed by ACQA.
